This was a year long project which evolved from the idea of “primary shaped sculptures” being installed in the gullies that were present throughout the Rockies. When I moved from the Rockies to the center of the City of Baltimore, that notion morphed into building a construction like device. As this sculpture evolved, the design and fabrication decisions became those that would be considered for manufacturing construction equipment. Once the Sculpture was completed, I decided to “exhibit” or more accurately “display” it in an industrial show rather than an art gallery. Renting a booth at The New England Industrial show required becoming a “business” or at least have outward appearance of a business. So, “The Enviro-plug Division of Seipel Manufacturing” was born.
